About the Artist

Michael Conway grew up along the west coast of Florida. Since his teens, he has always had a camera in his hands, photographing Florida, it's surroundings, people or what ever caught his eye.

He attended Florida Presbyterian College (now Eckderd College) and later received a Bachelor's degree in Literature from University of South Florida. He went through a period of shooting Native American Powwows, the people and costumes and Native American museum artifacts.

After college Michael moved to Sarasota for a number of years shooting and creating art in his studio on Siesta Key as well as working for the Ringling Museum of Art.

From the mid 80’s to mid 90’s he started and ran a number of companies non art related. But with the advent of the world wide web, he saw an opportunity to move back into a more creative arena. In 1997 Michael started TecTao Studios and TecTao Designs.

Through TecTao Studios, he has been able to continue refining his interests and work in photography and print.
